:: COYOTE ::

Coyote traps and humane coyote controlWhat Damage do coyote do?
Your cats and dogs are easy prey as well as any livestock a Coyote sets his mind on. Coyote carry the rabies virus as well as other disease. As people build ponds stocked with fish, and other live animals, coyotes find these areas and quickly begin to feed on the bounty. Coyotes love eggs and can cause huge financial losses to both the commercial farmer as well as the weekend gardener. A coyote can become a problem when their feeding leads them to our gardens, livestock or pets. Coyote are more likely to eat garden vegetables and fruit. Because of how they forage, damage is quick and complete.

What bait should I use for coyote?
Chicken, eggs, meat products, smelly sardines seems to draw them.

Where should I place coyote traps?
It is best to set the traps during the day around and near the problem areas, or if you know where the Coyote den is.  The Coyote is a nocturnal animal that averages about 35 pounds, and comes out at night to hunt and forage. Keep the Coyote trap near wooded areas, so the Coyote does not feel threatened.

Live Bait Cage

This Imperial live bate cage simply hangs on the back of our Imperial Pro-42” Folding Trap (as shown) or will also fit Imperial PRO-42" traps. By placing a live animal in the bait cage, it is the ultimate attraction for predatory animals. The bait cage has a easy access trap door on the bottom for loading and unloading the bait cage.  All other sides are solid metal allowing sight of the bait animal inside only through the trap.  The predator will have to enter the trap to see and try to get the bait animal.  The bait animal is 100% safe inside the bait cage.  It’s best to hang the bait cage about 6” off the ground on the back of the trap.  Once hung use zip ties or wire to secure against the trap.  Always use a smelly bait to draw the predator to the trap.  Once close, the predator with smell and see the live bait and enter the trap to get the live bait…. Job done!     The dimentions of this Live Bait Cage are 20" x 11” x 12"
